Sacred Time

I have shared much on the subject of sacred readings, sacred space and sacred places but as I watched a segment on the TBN Network one evening, it was revealed to me that I have and continue to experience what I will call “sacred time”.?? I’m not referring to the regular Sunday worship service or the weekday service.?? What do I mean???? Have you ever been driving along in your car and suddenly you began to pray?? Have you ever been sitting alone in your living room and suddenly a song came to you and you began to sing?? Then you have experienced a ‘sacred time’.? I am not talking about new age thinking, I am speaking about the way the Holy Spirit just ‘rests’ upon you and, you know that it’s HIM!?? I am talking “sacred time” such as the Transfiguration [Mark 9:2-8, Luke 9:28-36 and Matthew 17:1-8]; I am speaking about a ‘sacred time’ that can really be termed a ‘sacred walk’ on the road to Emmaus [Luke 24:7-35].? I am speaking about a ‘sacred time’ for the mother of our Lord when she conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit [Matthew 1:18-25]. ? You and I have these “sacred times” each and every day, for any time spent in the presence of God is sacred. ?What is different is that the Holy Spirit chooses the time.? Recently I sat in my bedroom reading and suddenly I began to just give a ‘shabach praise’ saying over and over Hallelujah.? I worshipped for what seemed like an eternity, but was only a split second.? These moments in time defy description, all I can say is that I feel a sense of peace and joy afterwards.? ? It was also revealed to me that the occasions spent fasting are also ‘sacred time’ and this has led me to study and meditate on the following scriptures and I invite you to study and meditate on them as well. ? 1 Kings 19:7-18??????????????????? ???????????
